Cozy Games Email Promo Ad Banned by the ASA

asa bans cozy games ad for misleading offer

The Advertising Standards Authority banned a bonus offer by the bingo site Big Bucks Bingo, which is powered by Cozy Games. It was accused of misleading customers.

The Big Bucks Bingo was also warned by ASA to ensure that its ads for their future promos must include enough information about specific conditions, such as the wagering requirements, which may influence the customers’ decisions to partake in their offer.

This threat came in after an email was sent two days ago from this casino to its players, which stated that they should use code “EXLC10” to receive a bonus of £10. The offer also said that each of the customers will receive 100 free spins after they log in to their website.

The Advertising Standards Authority’s investigation believed the offer to be misleading as there was no information on any wagering requirements. The ASA then upheld this assessment over said conditions, because the deposit section failed to mention that the value, a customer decides to deposit as well as the amount was included in four times wagering requirements.

The ASA found no breach in the second part of the offer, after considering that most of the customers will understand that a free spin, is, in fact, a turn on each game.

The ASA did accept the second part of the promotional offer. However, the first evaluation was upheld. Moreover, the advertisement must never appear in the same form.
